AKS Project - Accumulated knowledge and skills

European Award

The AKS project was one of three to receive the first ever Leonardo da Vinci award launched by the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. There was a presentation of the projects followed by an award presentation in Maastricht in December 2004.

The project's scope of work was validation , assessment and transferability of formal, non formal and informal learning in the electro-technical industry throughout Europe.

The project period was from 1st of December to the 30th of November 2004, with a dissemination conference held in November 2004. The final results of theproject work were presented at this conference.

Project Manager Svein Harald Larsen from NELFO, Hans Jacob Edvardsen from ELBUS, and Project member Agnes Trainer Olssoen from OREE constitute the Norwegian partner group. This group have been working for the last year and a half with partners from the UK, Denmark, Greece and Sweden to develop a tool for assessing “Accumulated knowledge and skills” - AKS, in the electro and electronics industry in Europe.
